Questions
Vapor FAQ
What is vapor honing?
Vapor honing, also called vapor blasting or wet blasting, uses water and fine media together. It cleans metal gently and leaves a smooth satin finish.
How long does it take?
Small parts are typically done in a day or less.
How should I bring my parts?
Disassembled and drained. Bearings, seals, and gaskets should come out first.
Do you coat the part after?
Only if you want. Most vapor-honed parts are left as clean bare aluminum, but we can powder coat or Cerakote them too.
